“A Prayer to the Eternal God, 6-2-20,” by Andrew J. Schatkin
Jesus Christ, who took upon in act of humility human life and human form, you teach us and lead us to become humble and let us be transformed into your image as you call us not to be served but to serve as we serve the humble and poor, those who the world rejects and spurns. Allow and teach us to see your image in the poor and suffering, and make us into what we have the potential to be, the saints, as we with the potential are to be remade in the course of our lives in your image and likeness, the image of the savior and redeemer of all mankind, male and female, slave and free, black or white. Stand by us as, you have always stood by the Sea of Galilee, calling all of us from our boats to follow you in the course of life to the joy and love of your presence in heaven in eternal life. Amen.
