“Does God Hear the Prayers of the Disabled, Mentally Challenged, and Brain- and Organically Damaged and How Does He Interpret Their Prayers?”

“Does God Hear the Prayers of the Disabled, Mentally Challenged, and Brain- and Organically Damaged and How Does He Interpret Their Prayers?”

God is an omnipotent and omniscient being and he has power beyond our comprehension. He is everywhere at all times and, in fact, is beyond our temporal world, so he hears every prayer directed to him from every age and generation that has ever lived. His mind is so far beyond the human mind that we must ask: does he hear and understand the prayers of those whose minds are limited by the accident of birth and are mentally challenged and suffer from some form of organic damage? All men and women are parts of his creation and in the prayer of anyone, smart or not, challenged or brilliant, he is able to look at their hearts in that prayer and understand that the same love for him in all of us prompts that prayer. The same love of anyone is the source of the prayer and God, who is love, is able to interpret and grasp and understand that love whether from the disabled or the mentally challenged. In the prayer of those I just mentioned, he perceives and sees the true love that is in that person and in their hearts and minds. God’s thinking and judgments are beyond our understanding and so in the prayer of those whom the world may despise and see as of little value, he looks and hears deeply into the hearts, minds and souls and knows in their prayers their essential equality if not the greatness of their love and in their prayers. He responds to these the world sees as not too smart and having little power or money. He looks into them as he looks into us all and finds in the depth of their being and souls in their prayers and expression of love for him the truth of his saying that the last shall be first in our new and remade world and in the kingdom of heaven.
